Another new Sony Xperia handset has been identified via a benchmark. The Sony C2105 can be found listed in GLBenchmark and reveals a few interesting details. Firstly, judging by the model number ‘C2105’ we know this is likely to be a sub mid-range device that sits just above the Xperia E (C150X) and Xperia E Dual (C160X).
Secondly, this will have a FWVGA screen resolution, but with on-screen virtual buttons as seen in the current Xperia GX/T/TX/V models. The screen resolution is listed as 480 x 791, which gives this away – leaving 63 vertical pixels for the on-screen buttons. This would be the first Sony Xperia device with FWVGA resolution to sport virtual buttons.
Thirdly, the maximum CPU frequency is listed as 1026 MHz, most likely suggesting a 1GHz single-core chipset, or who knows we may even see a dual-core chipset such as the NovaThor U8500 but we doubt it. The benchmark also reveals that it is running on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean with 15.0.A.0.8 firmware (the first time we have seen eDream 15 mentioned). So overall, we believe this is likely to be the 2013 version of the Xperia J, or something close to it. However, we’ll bring you more news as we have it.
