Sony Mobile has announced the Sony Xperia AX for Japan. The phone is a variant of the Xperia V (LT25i) that will feature some additional features for the Japanese market including infrared port data exchange, mobile wallet and mobile TV. No launch date was given for the device, with Sony simply pointing to a release “later this year”. The Xperia AX will launch with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on the NTT DoCoMo (SO-01E) and KDDI (SOL21) networks.
