Sony Ericsson has some of the most desirable designs in the market when it comes to Android smartphones and this today has beenrecognised by the 2012 iF awards. Sony Ericsson has seen three of its Xperia smartphone range win iF product design awards – the Xperia active, Xperia mini pro and Xperia ray. Another Sony Ericsson phone won an award also, the Mix Walkman.
For the Xperia active lovers out there, you’ll be heartened to hear that the active received the highest level gold award. iF looked at a number of factors before dishing out the awards including the quality of design and finish, choice of materials, and environmental impact and functionality. “Design has always been a cornerstone of how we approach innovation and we will continue to build on this success with the new iconic design language introduced as part of our 2012 portfolio,” said Jeanna Kimbré, Director of Creative Product Design for Sony Ericsson.
