Sony Ericsson’s 50GB Box cloud offer now live

At the end of last month, Sony Ericsson inadvertently let out that it was partnering with Box to offer 50GB of cloud storage for Xperia owners. However, details weren’t finalised at that time. Fast forward to today and Sony Ericsson has officially announced that this offer is now live.

Simply download the Box app to any Xperia handset and sign in to your account before 31 December 2012 and you’ll be granted 50GB of cloud storage for life. We’ve tried it this morning and can confirm it does indeed work. A very generous deal considering this level of cloud storage would normally set you back $19.99 per month from Box.
